Hypaspist wrote:Well, I haven't seen all the codex as there were only sections of it there in an A4 Ring Binder, and noticably without the FOC slots they take up (though I'm sure it wouldn't take a genius to work that out) Can we please get all pics in this thread tacked onto the OP so we don't have to thumb through all the pages to see everything? I'm still drinking in every glorious detail of every pic. Mandrakes? Grotesques?Ĭan't wait to see homunculus and Talos sculpts, and I'm sad we don't have sight of Mandrake models yet. But I'm very curious about those things with the long white hair. The Codex cover art is great, but I'm not sure about the Archon with the large bobble-head. There's a lot that can/will be done with the empty space on the hull and sail. The Raider is awesome and I love the lance-wielding passengers. And they look amazing anyway, now that the pilots aren't midgets. I think the jetbikes look a little back heavy and could use more blades along the nose, but that can be fixed. I can't wait to get wind of their new rules! These are of the quality that I saw potential for in DE from the beginning. My search is over, let the planning begin! > This thread right here is the entire reason I joined Dakka. There's a section in the Background part of the Codex called the Coming/Advent/Rise (forget which) of Vect. Two female Reaver jetbike torsos on the sprue. Ten Wyches to a box, six females(!) and four males.

The rumored rule where the DE get stronger as they kill the enemy is called Strength Through Pain.

The pyramid thing the Archon is holding might be a wargear item that doubles his Strength IF he kills an enemy MC/ SC in close combat. The DE seem to have an armywide Acute Senses rule. There was half a page of description about this, so I can't remember the details. There were several upgrades for reaver jetbikes that inflict different numbers of S3/4/6 hits on units when doing their 'drive by' attack. I need to read my rulebook again, but I think it should allow them to go 12" and fire all three weapons, bye bye land raider). Ravagers only AV 11 11 10 but can fire all three dark lances at cruising speed (couple that with fast and. The ones from Gamesday, particularly the one with the more streamlined sail make it look much more passable imo. Having said that whoever picked/took that photo for the website and newsletter needs to be kicked, the angle that picture was taken on is terrible and completely doesn't show one of the new features (the hanging off crew). Definitely an improvement on the old ones and I can see where they are going with the whole Pirate boat thing but it still doesn't look that great. The only one I'm not sold on is the Raider, which is a real concern considering its there main (only?) transport so it would be tricky to build and army without them. Lelith, the Incubi, the Mandrakes (I think its a Mandrake, the one after the Warrior) and the Jetbikes in particular look great, can definitely see the evolution of that old Eldar jetbike prototype in there.
